Things you don't use anymore just hanging around you? Don't want to throw them out but don't know what to do with them either? Why don't we put our brains together here and think about how to make the useless things use-able?
Bobby Pin
Bookmark. Want a sturdier and cuter alternative to the typical yellow post-it note? Use a bobby pin to flag a frequently turned-to section in a reference book or to mark your place in a novel. Slide the pin over a few pages so it stays put.
Clip-on Earrings
Don't know what to do with old clip-on earrings you don't wear anymore?
Clamp the costume-style sparklers onto plain pumps to make the shoes
more festive. Position then slightly off-center for a contemporary
look, and so they'll peek out from beneath your trousers.
Ice Cube Tray
How about jewelry organizer? Devote separate cubbies to your necklaces, bracelets, rings, and pairs of earrings, and stack multiple trays as needed. Then say so long to knotted chains and nomadic hoops!
Pencil Eraser
Earring securer. If the backing for one of your studs goes awol, slice off a disk-shaped wedge from an eraser. The earrings will stay put - even if your pencil looks denuded...
Wire Hanger
Static defuser. To tame a skirt that's clinging indelicately to your legs, run the long side of a hanger over the surface and then underneath. It will decharge the garment sans smelly chemical sprays.
